InternationalHub is a student-run collective producing multimedia content devoted to advancing the thought and dialogue surrounding global business and cross-cultural relationships. The InternationalHub team consists of Master of Accountancy students from the Marriott School of Business collaborating with leading academics and professionals.
Haylee was raised in San Diego, California. She enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and eating fine European chocolate. Haylee speaks German and spent almost three years living in Germany.
Lex Waters was raised in Knoxville, TN. When he's not studying accounting, he enjoys basketball, weight-lifting, collecting shoes, and cheering for the Florida Gators. Upon graduation, he plans to return to the southeastern United States to begin his career. Lex speaks Portuguese and spent two years living in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Madison Birtcher was raised in South Jordan, Utah. She enjoys snowboarding on a good powder day, snuggling up with a book on a rainy day, and spending time with family on any day. After graduation, she plans to begin her career in Chicago, Illinois.
Marcus grew up in Carmel, California and lived abroad for two years in Honduras. He also had a brief humanitarian stint in Malawi. Marcus loves being outside and active, whether that be skiing on the slopes, playing intramural sports, or cycling on a scenic road. After graduation, Marcus plans on returning to the Monterey Peninsula to start his career.
Meg Rowley was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. When she isn't studying accounting or researching culture you'll find her out traveling the world and experiencing cultures first-hand. She has a passion for humanitarian work and loves her family, her friends, and music.
Sarah was born and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Besides accounting, she enjoys swimming, shopping, and eating acai bowls. You may even find her up on the ski slopes in the winter!
Shannon Christiansen was raised in Neenah, WI. In addition to accounting, she loves snowboarding, running, traveling, and spending time with family. After finishing school, she plans to begin her career in Provo, UT.
Taylor Issertell was born and raised in Kaysville, UT. One of her biggest dreams is to live internationally and speak the native language. She enjoys traveling, videography, snowboarding, and anything that has to do with her family.
Greg Burton is the Associate Director and John and Nancy Hardy Professor in the School of Accountancy at Brigham Young University. Greg has consulted with businesses or given presentations in more than 70 countries. He is the past president of the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. In 2008-2009, he was appointed the Academic Fellow in the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to receiving his Ph.D., he was a senior manager with KPMG and spent two years on an international rotation living and working in Southeast Asia.
